Corporate Profile

G. U. Engineering started operations in 1967 at Grace Park, Caloocan City. Its main line of business is automotive engine rebuilding and reconditioning - serving largely the metropolitan area. In 1978, it was incorporated and the name was changed to G. U. ENGINEERING INC.

The company's original market for engineering services are Auto Supplies, Repair Shops and Industrial Land Transport Users, but soon after, its operation expanded to the Logging and Mining Industries, etc.

Presently, GUEI market includes a wide range of industries that require its services - from Commercial Shipping to Fishing, Oil barges and Tankers, Heavy Equipment, Industrial Manufacturers, Power Generating Industries, etc. It is one of the few real Five-Star "A'" rated machine shops and engine rebuilder in the country.

GUEI was the first to introduce and pioneer the Submerged Arc Welding process of rebuilding severely worn out crankshaft and other shaft parts in the country using technology from the United States. With close ties with several foreign entities of similar industry, the company is continuing to try new technological advances to serve the needs of its market.

On Jul 4, 1994, GUEI was awarded the Trophy of Excellence in the 15th INTERNATIONAL AWARD FOR TECHNOLOGY AND QUALITY organized by EDITORIAL OFFICE in Paris, France. The recognition and honor was very eagerly accepted with the commitment of continuing the pursuit of technological excellence in our field.
